New York, April
11, 2007—History is about to be made again
in the tiny but crisis-ridden Anambra State of Nigeria, as
reports indicate that the masses of the state are set to
elect the first female governor in the history of the oil-rich
African nation.
 |
Her Excellency,
Dame Virgy Etiaba
(Popularly called, “Mama Anambra”) |
Reports on the ground indicate that
the large followers of government banned renegade, Dr. Chris
Ngige, the leadership of NNPP, DPP and Labour Party have all
declared intension to join forces to ensure that Her Excellency
Dame Virgy Etiaba, the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA)
governorship candidate for Anambra State wins in the upcoming
poll in Nigeria scheduled on April 14, 2007.
While Dr. Ngige is in a dilemma following apparent conflicting
judgments from the courts regarding his candidacy in this governorship
election, his followers who see Mrs. Etiaba as the only credible
and reliable candidate in the governorship race are decamping
to her side en-mass.
Reports on the ground also indicate that the entire influential
catholic leadership and masses are supporting Her Excellency.
The little friction within the equally influential Anglican
congregation has been ironed out and now the entire Anglicans
are now supporting her candidacy, according to reports.
The new generation and born-again faithful both men and women
see in Etiaba God’s answer to their powerful prayers
for deliverance from the hands of evil men and crooked politicians.
The industrialists, service industries, businesses and the
voiceless artisans and masses are unanimous in their support
for the tested and reliable first female to briefly rule the
state as interim Executive Governor for 3 month from November
3, 2006 to February 7, 2007
Our pollsters on the ground indicate that if a free and fair
election is held today, and actual votes counted, Mrs. Etiaba
will win Anambra State by 75% margin, cleanly.
However, the electorate see dangers in the state because those
opposed to Mrs. Etiaba are in control of the election agency,
the police and all the security apparatus, including the armed
forces. The only thing Mrs. Etiaba has are the peoples’ support
and God.
Prayer warriors from many born-again movements operation in
the state we contacted indicated that Holy Ghost Fire would
consume anyone that attempts to tamper with actual votes in
this election.
There are 36 states in Nigeria and 50 registered political
parties for this crucial election closely watched by Nigerians
and the international community. Out of 3 females contesting
in the male dominated governorship race, Mrs. Etiaba is the
only frontline female contestant.
Meanwhile, report indicates that the elite State Security
Services agents are guarding some of the Etiaba children following
security report that there are plans by a group of political
opponents who are jittery at the way the campaign is going
to kidnap one of her kids in order to destabilize and weaken
her apparently unstoppable campaign organization.
Africans In America News Watch has concluded plans to send special
election monitors to Anambra State to compliment other national
and international observers already on the ground. |
