New York, November 13, 2007---Africans In America, Inc., a leading human rights organization addressing social issues concerning the larger African immigrant community in United States has been invited to a strategy meeting on human trafficking organized in New York City at the New York County Lawyers Association on November 14, 2007.
(Photo here) The guest speaker at the invitation-only forum is the US Trafficking Czar (Coordinator of United States government response to human trafficking) at the United States Department of State -- Ambassador Mark Lagon.
Governments around the world, including the United States federal government have come to recognize that human trafficking is a huge problem and effort are being made at various levels to address it.
Expected at the conference include leaders of human rights organizations, federal, state and local law enforcements, policy-makers and other officials.
Leading the Africans In America, Inc. team to the forum is the Executive Director Bonaventure Ezekwenna and Principal Investigator/Director of Clinical Services Professor Leah Blumberg Lapidus, Ph. D., ABPP.
