‘Old fox’ and ‘foolish school boy’
Tue 17th October, 2006

Nigeria President Obasanjo and Anambra State Governor Peter Obi during Obasanjo’s visit to the state to thank Peter Obi for giving him the opportunity to slaughter and annihilate the youths and women of Igbo descent in Anambra State. The visit and the smiles and handshake could be rightfully called ‘a kiss of death’.

The naive governor had few months ago given the foxy president a golden opportunity to destroy his support base when he requested the President’s military intervention to brutally crush the protesting jobless youths in his state.

Upon the arrival of President Obasanjo controlled military men in Anambra State Governor Obi gave the go ahead to shoot to death his own people.

Estimated more than 700 youths who originally form the Governor’s core support base were slaughtered in the process by the forces deployed by the President.

Immediately Obasanjo left the state after his ‘thank you’ visit, his (Obasanjo) party men controlling the Anambra State Assembly moved to impeach the clearly baseless, defenseless and naive governor.

President Obasanjo’s visit to Governor Peter Obi was clearly a ‘kiss of death’ to his governorship, reminiscent of ‘pounded yam and egusi soup lunch/diner’ President Obasanjo had with Chairman Audu Ogbeh in January 2005.

Peter Obi may be a very successful businessman, and may have very sound programs for the development of his state, maybe a very good man too, but he appears to be less than savvy politically, borderline ‘political stupidity'.
