Oby and Obj
Sun 25th June, 2006

Nigerian President Olusegun Obasanjo and Education Minister Obiageli Ezekwesili

Their friends fondly call them Oby and Obj - just some coincidental similarity in their pet names.

Africans In America News Watch investigation reveals no ‘biological relationship’, please.

However, here are what we found;

While Obj is from Ogun state, Oby is from Anambra state.

While OBJ has many wives and ‘women friends’, Oby has one known husband and some friends. While Obj, a top Army general and high roller Nigerian statesman’s religion was Ogun, Oshun and Shango (essentially worshiping God through sand, stones, climate and trees), Oby was a devout serious born again Christian (worshiping God directly and following Bible scriptures, so they say).

While Obj essentially do not care about little poor people, Oby visits and prays for people in distress including visiting prisons and praying for prisoners and wining souls over to God. Oby may have met Obj while on missionary journey to Nigerian prisons. She may have prayed for prisoner Obj, conquered and captured him and brought him over to God while he was inside one of Nigeria’s prison, converted him to Christianity and ‘shattered’ the prison cell through her prayer warriorship soldiers and ultimately won his surprising miraculous release from prison.

Oh Lord, if this is not a concrete demonstration of warriorship, what else will be?

Well, our investigation found some similarity, though: both are warriors in their own ways.

Today, Oby is ‘naturally’ rewarded by Obj to sit (serve, that is) beside him comfortably for almost 8 long years during his second ‘missionary’ journey to Nigeria’s heaven of power.

Apart from the apparently facial look-alike, again, no ‘biological’ similarity was discovered by our preliminary investigation.  However, the fact that we did not find any ‘biological’ similarity does not mean that it does not exist.
