Installing Katsina State Governor Alhaji Umaru Yar’adua and Bayelsa State Governor Jonathan Ebele Goodluck as next President and Vice President of Nigeria is another shinning example of elder statesman Olusegun Obasanjo’s application of ‘homegrown’ “Hands Across the Niger”.

If this ticket could be installed at Aso Rock as conceived, then 3rd term leadership will most likely continue from Ota. Aso Rock will still be on record as the official seat of Nigerian government with Ota being where the deal actually is. This phenomenon (ruling from retirement farm) is not new to African continent.
